What a beautiful weekend it was and I simply can not believe how blessed we were as we completely avoided the rain! Love this beautiful couple and their hearts, what a joy it was to work with them!! Happy Monday!

The day started out in a down pour as Anna and Mike in their two separate places got ready. Slowly as the day progressed, the rain stopped and it began to clear and ended with a magnificent sky to highlight a beautiful day as well as a beautiful couple! Anna and Mike were SO easy to work with and so flexible. The love between the two of them was apparent to all in attendance. Congratulations to the both of you, it was an honor to document your beautiful day!!

Sitting in the back of a Chicago taxi, Peter and Sarah headed to the Drake hotel with a ring box held tightly to his chest. It was Christmas time and the two were headed to the High Tea that would take place on that great day in December. Peter had distracted Sarah in telling her they were to meet his elegant aunt, and she looked around the room anxiously waiting for her. When Peter disclosed that his aunt would not be joining them, Sarah hid her disappointment and headed to the table with Peter to wait for the tea.
After myriad’s of people and carolers streamed in and out of the room, Peter’s heart raced and he gripped the box that he would soon present to his girlfriend as he asked her to be his wife. If Sarah had any idea that something was going to happen, she hid it well.
After exchanging some private words with Sarah, Peter got down on one knee on the side of the table and asked Sarah to be his bride. With a teary, “Yes”, she agreed and the two celebrated with a glass of Champaign and later with family who anxiously waited for them downstairs!

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.
Welcome to the world, sweet girl
Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
Congratulations, Rob and Sarah!
