Doug and Lori; Minneapolis wedding

The day couldn’t have been more perfect.  After months of planning, Lori’s winter wonderland wedding had come.  A slight dusting of snow covered the ground in white in the morning and as the day progressed, it let up to be a spectacular afternoon to shoot in.  Doug and Lori are a couple full of laughs, love and a shared passion for Twins baseball. They hold season tickets to all the games and early last spring Doug took Lori to a quiet undisturbed area of the stadium and got down on one knee to pop the question.  The baseball theme was carried on through the planning stages with a save the date baseball card and a cake topper and Twins themed garter.  I had a fabulous time working with this group, thank you Lori and Doug for allowing me to be a part of your day!

Doug and Lori: wedding details

The winter wonderland wedding that she had wanted had arrived and it was absolutely beautiful.  The morning was filled with light snow which tapered off until the afternoon to bring a warm glowing sunny day.  Doug and Lori planned it perfectly and had some great vendors to help that day.

Lori’s dress was fabulous on her and from a great little dress shop in Rodgers called The Little Bridal Shop.

Flowers for the day were done by Maureen Debruyn of Debruyn Designs.

Lori and Doug love the Twins and when she showed me her garter I knew Doug would get a kick out of them!

The Shane Copmany created three beautiful rings for the couple.

Loris hair and make up were done by Smart and Chic Bride

Necklaces and earrings were from The Icing by Claire’s

The beautiful ceremony was held at Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove.

And the snowflake pins were from a great little boutique called DaisyDays.com

Lori and her mom created their own invites, place cards, favors, and programs with paper from the Paper Depot.

Sparklers from SparklersUSA.com lined the outside of the church and the couple got away to the Crown Plaza in Plymouth in one of Renee’s Limo’s.

I just loved this one of the kids at the reception with their glow sticks.  They were having a blast with them!

    Michael and Carrie: MInneapolis wedding

“Amazing” was the word that he almost whispered as he saw her for the first time, she giggled and grinned with her amazing dimples. “Do you think so?”

I felt like I should slither into a hole just so they could take the moment in together without the snaps going on in the background.  Carrie and Michael’s entire wedding day was a day of respect and joy.  The richness of their love emanated toward friends and family.  The two were introduced by mutual high school friends and a friendship formed and over the course of time developed into a love for one another.  I was blessed to be a part of their very intimate ceremony and capture some unforgettable moments at their reception.  Thank you Carrie and Michael for allowing me to be a part of your day, I wish you a life time of happiness together.

One correction, Karen. The reception was at the Medina Golf and Country Club, not the Medina Ballroom. The photos are great – I love them.
