7 Vines Vineyard Wedding :: Dellwood, MN

Last weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Nick and Katie’s wedding at the picturesque 7 Vines Vineyard. It was a stunning summer day, blessed with partly sunny skies that created a perfect backdrop for the celebration. The day was a harmonious blend of classic elegance and joyful moments, making it an event to remember.

Nick and Katie’s journey began in 2020 when they met through Katie’s sister and brother-in-law at their wedding. Nick’s proposal was nothing short of magical. He gathered their close friends and family for a special night out in Stillwater. The couple enjoyed a walk along the river, and as they stood in front of the lift bridge, Nick popped the question. Katie’s sisters were nearby to capture the moment, and they all celebrated with drinks afterwards. The festivities continued the next day with a fun outing to Top Golf and a gathering at The Wild Boar in Oakdale, surrounded by their loved ones.

The wedding day was a classic affair adorned in blacks and whites. Katie’s bridesmaids looked timeless in their elegant black dresses from Azazie, each carrying a bouquet of white roses arranged by Laurie LeClair from Flore Inspired. The ceremony took place under an altar beautifully decorated with baby’s breath, which also adorned the table arrangements in big, stunning bouquets.

Katie was a vision of elegance in her backless wedding dress with a halter neckline by Casa Blanca Bridal, purchased from Bella Bridal Boutique. Her hair was styled in a trendy ponytail by the talented team at SunBear Spa & Salon, who also did her flawless makeup. Nick, looking dapper in his attire from Men’s Warehouse, stood with anticipation as the ceremony began. The flower “men” added a touch of humor as they walked down the aisle, bringing laughter to the crowd. But when Katie made her entrance, all eyes were on her, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as she and Nick exchanged their heartfelt vows.

As the day transitioned into evening, guests enjoyed the vineyard’s classic reds and whites and indulged in sweet treats from the Lil’ Dipper ice cream truck. The charcuterie board was a feast for both the eyes and the palate, provided by the fantastic Creative Catering by Molly . The golden hour was truly magical, casting a warm glow over the vineyard, perfect for capturing breathtaking photos of the newlyweds.

The reception was filled with touching moments and joyous laughter. Both fathers delivered moving speeches, and the maid of honor’s words brought many to tears, while the best man’s speech had everyone laughing. The night continued with Katie and Nick dancing the night away to some of the best music, thanks to DJRay from Neckwerk Entertainment, who kept the dance floor alive. Alexandra Films captured every beautiful moment on video, ensuring that these memories will be cherished forever.

The stationery for the wedding was beautifully crafted by The Knot, adding a touch of elegance to the invitations and programs. The rings that symbolized Nick and Katie’s love were purchased from Wedding Day Diamonds, adding a sparkle to their special day.

Nick and Katie’s wedding at 7 Vines Vineyard was truly a celebration of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Congratulations to both of you and enjoy your honeymoon to Italy!

Little did they know that their virtual rendezvous would lead to a journey filled with love, laughter, and a sprinkle of onion-ring humor.

Adam, with his playful heart, fondly recalls the moment he “proposed” with an onion ring. Despite the distance, the couple found creative ways to stay connected. They spent time together over FaceTime, doing crossword puzzles, working out, and spending virtual time with friends. As their love deepened, they began planning their special day at a private residence in Cottage Grove, MN. Layla and Adam sought the expertise of Rustic Elegance, led by the talented Kellie Heinen. With a vision of rustic charm and timeless elegance, Kellie wove magic into every detail, ensuring that their wedding would be nothing short of a fairytale.

The rolling hills and lush greenery provided the perfect backdrop for their ceremony and reception. Preparing for the big day, Layla entrusted her hair to the skilled hands of Shayla Schrupp, whose artistry brought out her natural beauty, accentuating her radiant smile. For her flawless makeup, Anna Hutsell of Glam with Anna worked wonders, creating a look that was both ethereal and enchanting. Layla’s stunning Oleg Cassini dress from David’s Bridal was a vision of timeless beauty, embodying grace and sophistication.

As the ceremony ended, Milk Mart Ice Cream Truck offering Minnesota-made ice cream sandwiches provided a whimsical and delicious treat for guests of all ages.

Gastrotruck, the caterer for the day, delighted guests with farm-fresh brisket and chicken sliders, homemade jalapeño mac & cheese, homemade kettle chips, and roasted vegetables. Ergo Floral added a touch of floral enchantment with Layla’s bouquet filled with seasonal blooms of peonies, roses, and Queen Anne’s lace. No wedding is complete without a sweet indulgence, and Amy’s Cupcake Shoppe delivered with a variety of cupcakes ranging from lemon to honey fig rosemary that left taste buds wanting more. Milk Mart Ice Cream Truck offering Minnesota-made ice cream sandwiches provided a whimsical and delicious treat for guests of all ages as the ceremony ended.

The reception was filled with music and joy, thanks to DJ Greg Ellis, who ensured that every moment was accompanied by tunes that resonated with love and celebration. Stationery from Minted added to the rustic farm vision, setting the tone for the enchanting affair. Layla and Adam’s wedding was filled with unique and personal touches. The couple decided to have some fun playing with a piñata, much to the delight of the children, who eagerly gathered the scattered candy. They also served a variety of homemade beers along with local brews from New Glarus and Summit, adding a personal touch to the celebration.

Amidst all the preparations and celebrations, Layla and Adam held dear to family heirlooms, adorning themselves with Layla wearing her mother’s necklace and earrings and bracelet from her aunt that carried sentimental value. Adam looked dashing in attire from Milbern Clothing Company, adding a touch of classic style to the celebration. As for the rings that sealed their love, Brilliant Earth and Squaremade were the artisans behind these symbols of eternal commitment.

As Layla and Adam embarked on this new chapter of their lives, they carried with them the warmth of cherished memories and the promise of a future filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures.

Their wedding day was a celebration of love, faith, and the blending of two families into one.

Brittany and David’s first meeting felt like serendipity in motion. While they had attended the same Christian school years apart, God brought them together through an app. Unbeknownst to them, their paths had almost crossed earlier due to mutual friends and family ties. However, it wasn’t until their first in-person encounter that the sparks truly flew, revealing a shared background rooted in a deep faith and a connection that would shape their future.

For Brittany, the path to finding love again was a journey of healing and hope after the tragic loss and death of her first husband, Daniel. She reflects on how God orchestrated every step, leading her to David, who not only embraced her with love but also welcomed her son into their lives as his own. Their relationship blossomed not just romantically but as a strong friendship, built on understanding, support, and unwavering commitment.
