Finally… a family of 5

Yet another call on another day.  It was tiring, wearing and extremely emotional.  Amanda had just gotten off the phone with her adoption agency, which had told her that her daughter was not cleared to come home yet through the American embassy , but her son was.  “When would these 2 children ever be theirs?”  It had been a painful 3 years of waiting.  Almost 6 months ago they had received word that they had been placed with their children and were able to fly across the world to meet them.  Coming home was painful and waiting was especially hard, and so was the paperwork that came with the trial.  The month they waited was well worth it and within 6 weeks of the Embassy saying that Violet and Spencer were not yet theirs, they walked off a plane in Minneapolis holding the 2 babies they had been waiting for for so long.  Finally, the family of 5 was complete.

I was able to photograph their homecoming to the airport which was an emotional one for me.

      Wenzel Family- Minneapolis Family

They waited 2 years.  Hoping, wishing, and praying Kate and Jeremy wanted a baby.  Their prayer was answered last August when little Isaiah come into the world.  Blue-eyed and blond headed, he was perfect!  One year later this little guy was an angel for their family photos, and super smiley!  I think he is probably used to having a camera pointed at him being that his mom is a photographer!  (Check out Kate’s web-site HERE!)

I had a wonderful time with this amazing family; they are near and dear to our hearts.

        White Family: Rochester Family

I have had the awesome and amazing privilege of photographing and experiencing huge momentous moments with clients throughout the years.  In 2007 I was introduced to this amazing couple (well Bryan’s wife!  Bryan’s father was my pastor for many years growing up!)

In 2007 I was able to do the 07.07.07 wedding.

In May of 2009, I first met their little Hayley. We captured her growth at 6 months.

Last fall when we were doing their family session, they told me their great news… baby girl was to be coming in spring!

And a month ago I got to meet their newest addition, little Lydia.

I am honored to do what I do.  Thanks White’s for allowing me into the years of your life.  I can’t wait to see what’s next!

          Elora- Minneapolis newborn

My stomach did somersaults as I read the text, and then tears came.  ” Sarah went into labor last night…”  It was the only time I can remember not wanting a baby to be born.  At 27 weeks and only 1 pound 7 ounces, Elora (meaning God is light) came into the world.  At first everything seemed ok, then another e-mail came a few days later stating that she was bleeding in her brain which could leave her without the use of her limbs or that she would not even make it at all.  As brand new parents, Sarah and her husband were devastated.  What did God hold for their future?

After a few weeks, a lot of prayer and a complete miracle, God stopped the bleeding in this baby’s brain, leaving NO damage.  Throughout other ups and downs, Elora graduated a few weeks ago from Children’s NICU to the ICC and is now a whopping 5 lbs, 5 oz, and will hopefully be heading home around her due date.  This child is a true and complete miracle, and I was so happy to be able to document her at this tiny stage of life.

To read more about Elora’s story visit Sarah’s blog where you can read all about their journey.  See HERE

Sarah you are an amazing mommy.  I can’t wait to see what God’s plans are for this precious little girl.  xoxo
