It’s mini session time again and I was so thrilled to see seven families and photograph them among the blooms of May. Spring is upon us and I am so grateful to be able to see so many incredible families like the Lang family. We spent some time on their porch together capturing the beauty of the fresh spring greens as well as how quickly their kids are growing. What a joy it is to see families like theirs over and over throughout the years!
Welcoming a new baby during the past year hasn’t been easy, but the Markert family has done it with ease! It was a joy to meet them at my favorite park in Edina and seeing them interact with their new son was so much fun. They make parenting look easy and I can’t wait to see more of them this next year!
It was a joy to meet the sweet Shannon family. We were able to get a beautiful day at Lake Harriet Rose Gardens to photograph their family. We wandered around the gardens admiring the flowers and chatting about baseball and summer. What an honor it was to capture this season of the Shannon’s life. I look forward to seeing them more!
Last spring I had the incredible privilege of photographing so many incredible families on their front porches. I hope this tradition continues as I love seeing families and the way their kiddos grow. I have had the privilege of knowing Allison since middle school and now that we are living in the same city, I am so glad when I occasionally run into her. Photographing her wedding and kiddos has been such a joy for me and I am thankful for a day to see friends and capture them right where they are at!

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.

Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
