More flowers and more beauty today as I share with you the beautiful Schut family. I have loved getting to know this family through the years, and in the past year have been as excited to welcome them up to my neck of the woods!! Soon to come will be a new baby brother or sister!! I can’t with to share more, but until then, here is our last session with waterfalls and enough flowers to smell throughout the day!
It was a wonderful day to spend with a wonderful family. The trees and flowers were in full bloom and to make the light even better, there was a spring storm rolling in which brought a beautiful dramatic sky and eventually a thunderstorm that pushed us out but not without beautiful photos! Many thanks to the Mitchell family who braved some sprinkles before the rains came, I’m so thankful you did!
Toddlers and preschoolers, they get me every time. So cute and curious. I got to meet this lovely family and play in the studio with them, exploring all the fun things it can offer. I can’t wait to see more of them in the future and move and groove along with them!!
I love spring. And I love family sessions in spring! What a joy it is to take our kiddos out into the warmth of the sun and have the simple joy of walking and playing at the park. That is exactly what I did with the sweet Horning family!
Oh how I love the cake smash. You never know what you are going to get when you put a cake in front of a one year old. Sometimes it is the messy mash and (like this case!) bug crocodile tears! Evelyn was a trooper, but when we put that cake in front of her, the waterworks came out. But even when she cried, she was still a cutie pie!!

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.

Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
