Downtown Wayzata:: Summer Engagement

Upon meeting Caylee and Ethan for the first time, I knew they were a fun couple to be with! Whenever a couple can laugh with one another I know we’re going to have a great time! We decided to hit downtown Wayzata for their summer engagement session. Because Caylee grew up on the lake and both of them love it so much we spent most of our time near the water. We explored some of the side streets and walked amongst the crowd laughing and chatting. I am looking forward to there September wedding date and can’t wait to laugh more with them then!

    Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove:: Summer Engement

    It was the most incredible evening for a photo session and I was so excited to spend it with Dillion and Becca. We chose the beautiful Elm Creek Park in Maple Grove for their session and the light was incredible. We wandered the park as people swam, biked and enjoyed the beautiful evening. I simply can not wait for their September wedding, I know it will be just as incredible and fingers crossed, so will the light!!

      Centennial Lakes:: Summer Engagement Session

      Duncan and Ashley’s love story started in October 2018 after meeting online. Following a week of virtual conversations, the two met in person for the first time. They spent hours talking and bonded over their shared interest in fitness, strong faith, and love of family. The pair quickly became taken with each other on their first date at Centennial Lakes where they later had their engagement pictures taken. The couple purchased their first home in March 2020 and welcomed their miniature golden doodle, Milo, to the family.

      In December 2020, Duncan used his creativity to come up with a sentimental proposal during the pandemic. Duncan pretended that he fell during an outdoor run and needed Ashley’s help to get back. She drove to his location at Grace Lake in Chaska, which they had unsuccessfully tried to find months prior on a date. While that should have given away the plan, along with the presence of Duncan’s parent’s car, Ashley was too upset to notice. Even when he dropped down to his knee, Ashley thought he had fallen over until he reached into his pocket and pulled out a beautiful diamond ring from Costco. She burst into tears and completely cut off his big speech after he popped the question. Of course, she said yes!

      The couple decided to have their engagement photos done at Centennial Lakes in Edina. We had a warm summer day and wandered around the park capturing the buttery summer sun. We laughed a LOT and it was so great to get to know them and their hearts before their wedding day. I simply can not wait to spend the day with them as they exchange vows at the beautiful St. James Hotel in Red Wing.

        Fridley:: Summer Engagement

        Jana and Adam both knew from the first minute that they met that they would be friends. Both share the love of running, love for children, and love of laughter. Throughout their entire engagement session at one of their favorite places to run, Locke Park in Fridley, they laughed and giggled the entire time. I had so much fun getting to know them a little bit more and look forward to their beautiful July wedding!

          Lyndale Park, Minneapolis:: Spring Engagement Session

          They met online, but connected on their love of the Arts and the city of MInneapolis. After a year and a half of dating, they both were ready to make the next steps in their relationship, and began looking at rings. Emily pointed out her favorite one, and on a perfect evening, Joe brought Emily to a quiet and removed spot in the park and asked her to be his wife.

          The couple really wanted to go back to the place they were engaged to do their engagement session and after having the day get rained out, we got a second date that was spectacular. The sun shone in all its glory and the leaves had grown in.

          I look forward to seeing Emily and Joe next May when they plan to be married. I can’t wait!
