Millennium Park, Plymouth:: Spring Engagement

When I met Katie and Blake to chat more about their wedding, I knew right away we would be a good fit. The two met while playing at soccer tournament for their adult teams. Blake had not been feeling well the night before, but last minute felt better and decided to come play. As his team brought him to the field on their mascoted team golf cart, Katie and her friends caught sight of them and the bantering began. Throughout the tournament as they saw one another, they continued chatting with one another until the end of the day when Katie convinced Blake and his teammates to join them for drinks at the end of the day. That conversation led to a myriad of other ones and eventually Blake was on one knee proposing to Katie!

We chose Millennium Gardens in Plymouth for their engagement session because they both love nature and it provided us with the perfect spot to park their motorcycles, another shared love of theirs. Katie’s daughter, Brianna, also joined us for a few family photos.What a joy it was to be with them, congratulations Katie and Blake!

Plymouth:: Spring Engagement

Chris and Sarah had known each other for years as friends. They knew many of the same people and their paths had crossed numerous times, but it wasn’t until Chris asked Sarah’s brother for her number that either of them were interested more than just a friendship!

The two decided to make it casual for their first date and after talking longer than either of them expected, they both concluded that meeting again would be fun. With Chris living in southern Minnesota and Sarah living in Minneapolis, they decided the following weekend to get together, and since then, they haven’t stopped.

We had a perfect evening for their spring engagement session. The blooms had just began to come out and we all relished in the heat and beautiful sunbeams of the day.

I am looking forward to spending a June day celebrating with Chris and Sarah, I know it will be just as easy going as both of them are!

Edina Couple:: Colby and Sarah

Hooray for spring engagements, flowering trees and beautiful couples.

Sarah and Colby met while serving on a mission trip for their church. Neither one was looking to get into a relationship, but they both became fast friends and by the end of the trip, they decided to start dating. Being miles apart, they made it a point to have Facetime dates and trips to see one another as often as they could. Eventually the two tired of the travel, and Colby moved up from Missouri, and proposed to Sarah.

As Covid crept in, the two decided to wed early before their church planned wedding day, and celebrated together in the park with a session together. They brought a bottle of champagne and popped it at the end of the session which provided some of my favorite expressions of the night!

Shoreview Engagement Session:: Ashley and Brandon

Brandon and Emily are the sweetest couple! We chatted over Zoom before they booked me and I knew right away we would be fast friends.

We set up their engagement session right after a big dumping of snow fell and we used it to our advantage. They were troopers walking around the park and doing whatever I asked of them, even walking through snow banks!

We had so much fun together, I know their September wedding day will be much the same, and I can not wait!

St. Paul Engagement Session:: Natalie and Jonathan

Natalie and Jonathan met in high school and over the years have remained together through thick and thin. When Jonathan proposed, it was an easy yes for Natalie as Jonathan has been her best friend. We did their engagement session on a late fall day at Como Park. We never expected snow, but it came and we just went with it combining both seasons together and making one beautiful session of both fresh snow and glorious leaves!
