Lucy has been my top baby model since the beginning! I got to meet her at one day old and photograph her and then continued on as she grew. It is hard to believe that she is two. Because we have been to a variety of places together, I wanted to try out a place I have been eying up for the last couple months. She was the perfect model, and in December, I will get another little one to photograph because a baby brother is in store for the Nelson’s. I am thrilled!
Dan, Erin and went to high school together. Although we were all friends, Dan and Erin didn’t start dating until college. From there, they were married and little Nolan came along 2 years ago. It was wonderful to reconnect with this sweet family and do another session for them. I have to say 2 year olds are most fun to photograph. They are sweet, yet in their own way, mischievous to the core. Little Nolan showed his side by doing the things boys do best at this age…running! He also showed me his sweet side by singing the entire song of “Take me out to the ball game.” (The Welter’s are Twin’s fans, and have taught him well!) I look forward to more sessions in the future!
Our family met the Chaffin family about 4 years ago. Since then, we have loved serving at our church with their family. Brittany is my most wonderful awesome baby-sitter that comes over once a week to let me work. She is truly amazing, and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Her parents are just as great as she is. Her mom asked if I would be willing to do some photos of their family, and we were able to catch a date and time that didn’t conflict with one of the five kids’ schedules. As always, it is a blessing to be around you all!
The Riley family is growing, and growing! The last time I photographed these beautiful people was two years ago, and they have added another one in the past year. We just had a fabulous time finding nooks and crannies downtown Elk River. Who knew?

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.

Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
