Lundeen Scene: Minneapolis Family

Spunk, independence and excitement were on the menu for the Lundeen family shoot.  Angie wanted some photos of her family before baby boy Lundeen makes his entrance into the world next month.  Little Nora did not disappoint!  She was strictly on her toddler schedule and we stuck to it, and laughed!I love how toddlers think I’m so funny, when really I’m not.

The ultimate bribe: a rig pop.  Angie you are so wise!

And I am just in love with the photo below.  Independence and confidence; a girl and her doggie.

  • I’ve been searching for month for a photographer just like you. You’re work is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, I’m in Minneapolis, but my family is in Phoenix. Maybe, someday I can get everyone here and hire you.

Cherry Blossom Pie

Kim and Kristine are from the Minneapolis area, but are both living out of state and very far away from each other.  For sisters  (twins!), I can only imagine that this is tough, especially when there are cousins involved!  Kristine has been following me on the blog, and said she’d be up from Florida wanting photos of their families together.   Kim’s daughter whipped up a batch of Cherry Blossom Pie for me as we went through the shoot.  I was thrilled, not only with her creativity, but with the way this entire family welcomed me into their home.

And of course I could not leave without bringing in the grandparents with all their beautiful grandchildren!

Beautiful photos and beautiful idea. I wish more people did this kind of thing. Extended family all together. Love it! The pie sounds great too!

I will never forget that Cherry Blossom Pie…you have no idea how blessed I feel that you were able to capture moments of my kids and my niece and nephew that I wouldn’t have! With not seeing them very often, every moment is so important and every picture reminds me of something special that the kids bring into my life…thank you, thank you:)

Lee Family: Minneapolis Family

Soon to be Cincinnati Family, which actually makes me very sad.   Julie and I met long ago in a mom’s group and since then have remained friends.  She is such a wonderful example to me a shining, glowing, patient, and kind mother of 3 under 3.  May she be blessed!

She bought bright yellow balloons and surprised the kids when we started the shoot.  (A great idea for future families!!)  We had a wonderful time downtown and her kiddos were so excited.  Best of luck to all of you as you continue on in life’s journey, you will truly be missed!

    Knutson Family: Minneapolis Family

I met Melissa and Matt at a wedding back in April.  My husband I sat at a table with them for dinner and hit it off right away.  Matt had all these crazy kid stories that he was telling us, which got my husband rolling.  They were a great couple to connect with.  They shared photos of their precious Bennett, and Melissa called in May to set up a session for his 1st birthday.  We met up again, this time downtown to get some family photos and 1 year photos.  Here are the results!

And many thanks to the kind soul who stood and made faces to make Bennett laugh which is where I’ll end today!

      Peters Children: Minneapolis family

My very good friend Angie works weddings with a good friend of mine and videographer,  Chuck Goldman.  She told me about this little nook in Edina called Arneson Acres.  I just had to check it out, and do a session there.  Rachel and her kids were due for a session, so I asked if they’d be up for trying something new.  It was the perfect night for a session, especially one with a fountain.  Her youngest begged to go in the fountain, and as cool of a mom as she is; she promised after the session there would be a bit of adventure with water.  They were not disappointed and neither was I.  To all my photographer friends, check out this beautiful hidden nook, it is wonderful!

Karen, my children loved spending time with you that night! You have such a beautiful way of getting kids to do what you want. (Can I take lessons?) The pictures are beautiful! My mom saw them and cannot wait to get her hands on them! She is raving to everyone what a great job you did! She wants them all! OH! Thanks for calling me a cool mom! I need a “Shot” of coolness (even if its just the thought that I might be cool)every once and awhile! 🙂
