Lyndale Park :: Minneapolis Family Session

This spring, I had the absolute pleasure of reconnecting with Ashley and Tyler for a delightful family session at Lyndale Park in Minneapolis. Having photographed their wedding back in September 2023 at Abella Farm, it was a joy to see them again and capture new memories for their growing family.

Lyndale Park was in full bloom, with vibrant tulips painting the landscape in a rainbow of colors. The bright, cheerful flowers provided the perfect backdrop for our session. Ashley and Tyler, now seasoned pros in front of the camera, were as warm and wonderful as ever. Their love for each other shone through in every shot, and their children added an extra layer of joy and energy to the session.

One of the highlights of our time together was the fun twist they incorporated at the end of the session. Big fans of Blink-182, Ashley and Tyler decided to throw on some band t-shirts and sunglasses for a rock and roll themed photo shoot. As Tyler played Blink-182 tracks in the background, the whole family got into the spirit. The boys were especially enthusiastic, dancing and striking playful poses that had us all laughing.

It was a perfect blend of fun and nostalgia, capturing not only their love for each other but also their shared passions. Seeing the kids’ excitement and Ashley and Tyler’s radiant smiles reminded me why I love doing what I do.

Thank you, Ashley and Tyler, for inviting me to capture these special moments. Your family session was a highlight of my spring, and I look forward to many more photo adventures with you in the future.

    Millennium Gardens Family Session :: Plymouth, MN

    The Johnson family recently graced Millennium Gardens in Plymouth for a memorable photo session that encapsulated the essence of family joy and milestones. As their photographer, I was thrilled to capture yet another beautiful chapter in their journey, having previously photographed Aubry’s newborn and 6-month milestones.

    From the moment they arrived, it was evident that the day would be filled with warmth and laughter. Aubry, on the cusp of turning one, radiated happiness with every smile and snuggle. Against the backdrop of blooming cherry blossom trees, her curiosity and joy were on display.

    Joining in the fun was Axel, the adventurous toddler known for his sneaky smiles and boundless energy. His playful spirit added a delightful charm to the session, whether he was chasing throwing rocks or exploring the vibrant spring scenery.

    What made this session particularly special was the history shared between the Johnson family and myself. Having been entrusted to capture Aubry’s journey from her newborn days through her 6-month milestones, seeing her now, full of personality and joy, was incredibly rewarding.

    As the session unfolded, the love and connection within the Johnson family shone through in every frame. Aubrey gave us her sweet and silly smiles and the sun came out at just the right time!

    In the end, the photographs captured not just moments frozen in time but also the cherished memories and bonds that define the Johnson family. It was a testament to the joy found in simple moments and the enduring beauty of family love. I can’t wait to see them again and watch how they continue to grow!

      Minnetonka, MN :: Family Session

      I love seeing past clients and Angie and her family are no exception. We met at the beautiful Burwell Park in the afternoon for her family photos. We made sure to photograph each child seperately and their family together. I have a few different openings this year for mini sessions at Burwell and would love to see you and your family. Feel free to reach out if you have questions!

        Rogers, MN :: Family Session

        Over the years I have met so many people including the kind and wonderful Christenson family. Ruth and I met when our girls were only 6 months old in a music class we both took together. Over the years we continued seeing each other as the kids grew up. I was able to photograph them as they grew and changed, and eventually we both moved out of the city and landed in the same suburb not many miles away from each other and within the past year ended up at the same church.

        As the kids have grown, I have been blessed to see them grow up. two years ago I photographed her son as a senior and this year, her daughter. Unfortunately for us, but fortunatelly for them, their family has now landed in a southern state where their kids will be attending college.

        I’m sad to see this incredible family move away, but so excited as they take on this new adventure of being Midwesterners to Southerners… I know they will do it so well, but we sure will miss them!

          Arneson Acres Family Session :: Edina, MN

          Alyssa and I have know each other since we were children. We quite literally grew up together going to all sorts of family events through our church together. Her parents were my Sunday School teachers and being that I was a little (just a little!) older than her, in college I would photograph her and her siblings as I was learning photography. I will forever be thankful for these long time relationships that, here in the Midwest, are the glue that keeps people together. (And I think, quite possibly keeps them sane in the cold winter months!)

          Watching this family grow up has been such a privilege. They welcomed their oldest to the family a few years ago and then their daughter was born. A few weeks back we celebrated her being one and before the heat came, got in a beautiful evening session at Arneson Acres Park in Edina, one of my favorite parks for family sessions. We began the session near the beautiful blooms and ended at the fountain, playing in the water and splashing about. Alyssa and TJ, it’s a joy to keep seeing you!!
