Coon Rapids Newborn Session:: Arlo

Just about two years ago in the height of the pandemic after their beautiful spring maternity session, Marisa and Nate were welcoming sweet Emily

into their home, and what a joy she has been. Now just two years later, Arlo joined them and of course, fun ensued as we did his newborn session together.

Arlo was one incredibly, patient little guy. We were turning him and loving on him and chatting with him all morning. I am pretty sure by the time I left that day, he was out cold!

We started their session in the beautiful nursery that Nate and Marisa decorated so beautifully capturing the entire family, along with their pup, Wylie. We ended their session in trying to capture the kids together, and sweet Emily decided she needed a little snooze and so did Arlo who ended up right next to her. Probably one of the sweetest photos I have taken in a while. It was such a joy to see this family again!

    Maple Grove Newborn:: Clara

    She’s a lucky little lady! Walking into the home of the Asleson’s, I knew this session was going to be special. A few months back I photographed Emily’s maternity session and in the past both of her boys maternity sessions and newbon photos, but this time around was even more special. These two little boys had been waiting for their little sister to arrive and she was welcomed by so much love.

    We started in her nursery, which was painted a light pink and an accent of darker pink walls. Above her crib was a beautiful sign created by another client and one of Emily’s good friends who does incredible sign work (Please go check her out HERE). The nursery held decor that was new and old items (including one of Emily’s well loved Raggidy-Ann dolls).

    We also took some time to photograph in the boys rooms and lastly in Emily and Neil’s master suite where we spent some time cuddling on the bed, laughing, tickling and reveling in sweet Clara.

    I am so thankful to have captured this family through the years, and feel so honored to be able to watch them grow. Congratulations!

      Roseville Family Session:: Larson Family

      It has been years since I started photographing the Larson family and every time I do so, I love them more! After three boys, they were all so excited about welcoming sweet Alex into their family last fall. She will be well loved and taken care of by her big brothers and it was already so apparent in these first few days at home.

      We began the session indoors and sweet Alex slept the afternoon away as her big brothers passed her from one to the next, and then we headed outside to capture the beautiful fall colors.

      I love being able to see families grown and change and can’t wait to see them all again soon!

        Minneapolis Family Session:: Meyer turns one

        It’s not until you have a child until you realize how fast a year really does go! Last year at this time, Laura and Dan were welcoming sweet Meyer home and this year, we watched him tot, squash cake and laugh as one sweet little boy! I never take this job lightly as I know each moment of time is precious. As children grow and change, capturing that time period brings back so many feelings of joy.

        Meyer was so much fun to watch as Laura brought out his cupcake to smash. He started out tentatively and then moved into playing with the sprinkles and figuring out that it was good to eat!

        Being huge Brewer fans, Laura put together one incredible Brewer themed birthday party for family and friends, including the invite that was put together in the form of a ticket. She was so creative and we had to capture some of that as well!

        Happy birthday sweet Meyer! It has been such a joy to photograph you this year!

          Buffalo Family Session:: Marquette Family

          It’s been over a DECADE that I have photographed the incredible Marquette family. I honestly do not take this lightly as this family feels more like family than clients. Every time I get to their home, I am welcomed by hugs and lots of love from their children and even some tours of what has changed since I have been there previously. Nicole’s hobby farm is a place I would want to live, and both she and Aaron make anyone who walks through their door feel at home.

          I love that every time I see Nicole, she has a vision for what she wants photographed. This time around she really wanted to highlight the elegance and beauty of where they are. We met at a beautiful piece of property and the night was perfect! We had one incredible golden hour and her kids were incredible. We laughed and trudged through the field and ended up by a beautiful fence!

          I always love seeing the Marquettes and look forward to more sessions together in the future!
