This family!! They make me smile because Sarah, believe it or not, was actually my boss at one point in time!! Being the great boss that she was, she was super easy and friendly to talk to and after both of us headed in different directions, social media kept us close! From when her first baby was born until now, I have been able to see her pretty much on a yearly basis, which I wish was more, but I’ll take it!!
One thing I absolutely LOVE about my job is seeing the same people year after year. I have been so lucky to have been photographing the Sharbono’s since their oldest was a year old. Seeing families grow and change is such a perk of the job, while I feel like I am not aging (an neither are the parents!) the kids just seem to keep getting older and sweeter; the Sharbono’s are no exception!
Just two months ago with green grasses, sparkling waters, 70 degree days, and clear skies, I met up with this sweet family to run around Lake Harriet and photograph in the fun! Their sweet little girl loves the moon so we photographed it just for her!
When my friend Jenny told me that she wanted their old truck in a family session, I was all over it!! Knowing that we HAD to make it happen, we squeezed in an afternoon session and the results were incredible!! It gave me many more ideas on using this truck for future shoots… now to just get her husband to drive it to these locations….

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.

Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
