She booked me before her C-section. Just to have those very newborn shots. I was thrilled to get together with Mary and her family again and to meet the newest member of their family. Being just 20 months apart, Marissa doted on her new baby sister and lovingly gave her kisses during the session. It was so sweet to capture.
Sunday afternoon’s are one of the times that the Bolduc Family is able to spend together. I was able to spend about an hour with them, and after meeting them, I felt like I was family. The kids were so welcoming and helpful and FUN!! They had some terrific ideas that we incorporated into the shoot, but dad ended up with the best one to end the shoot… a gigantic snowball fight!! Game on!!
I had the wonderful privilege of meeting little Lucas the first week of his life! The Wrights were kind enough to let me into their home, photograph this new little guy and let their other 3 kiddos jump on their bed while I snapped some real family moments! Thank you Wrights, your family of six is beautiful!
Again, I am so thankful for wedding couples as I am families that continue to grow. I love seeing the same clients return each year and sometimes even twice in a year. Here are some from 2011 that made me smile throughout the year!
This is one of my very favorite sessions from the fall. Everything just seemed to fall into place for the day. A new location, the lighting of the sun, the colors of the outfits, the props that they incorporated and over all, a wonderful beautiful story of a beautiful family becoming five.
You may remember Clint and Amanda’s story from a homecoming post I did back in August (see here to refresh). But their story of adoption is one that brings my heart to sing for joy of the wonders that can be done when God is at work. Throughout many highs and lows, lots of tears, and prayer these two beautiful children entered the McAlpine Family. I am overjoyed to call this family friends. Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.

Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
