After another beautiful weekend, here is a honey pie to bring you joy on this Monday morning!
It seemed like only yesterday I was photographing sweet Finn’s photos and earlier this spring, I was able to meet his new baby brother. What a gift this sweet family is!!
I love my clients. I love being able to shoot their engagement session, getting to know them, spend their wedding day with them, but even more than that, I LOVE watching them grow their families. In 2011 I met Heather and Tyler and connected with them right away. They were easy-going, fun to be with and ran even around and rode bikes in the rain on their wedding day! So when Heather called to let me know that they were expecting and in need of newborn photos, I was thrilled. Their little peanut, only a mere 7 days old, was a gem to work with! She slept almost the entire time as we moved her from one location to the other. I can’t wait to see how she changes and grows in the next year!!
This little man slept through his entire session. He was incredible!!
I arrived as Lorna was putting the finishing touches on a sign she had made and when she showed me her son’s brand new nursery, my jaw dropped to the floor. I am always astounded as to how creative parents are when designing nursery’s, and this one was not to be missed!! Her sweet son was a complete angel as we went through his session. I simply can’t wait to reconnect with this family as they grow!!

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.

Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
